Franklin Township's Planning Department
The Franklin Township Planning Commission is composed of five township residents, appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve five year terms. The Planning Commission's responsibility is to review plans for development in accordance with the Township's Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO), and Zoning Ordinances. Once they have reviewed the plans they then foward them to the Board of Supervisors with their recommendations and comments. Another duty of the Planning Commission is to review proposed changes to the SALDO and Zoning Township Ordinances and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, The Planning Commission is also involved in the Comprehensive Planning of our community.
Planning Commission Board Meetings: Planning Commission Board Meetings are held on the Second Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at the Franklin Township Administration Building (Please Note Meetings are on an As-Needed Basis and to review the Township Calendar to see when a meeting is scheduled).
